Your Guide to the 2026 Holiday Shopping Card
The Holiday Shopping Card returns for 2026, bringing together two of Houston’s favorite traditions: shopping local and supporting a meaningful cause. From October 22 through November 1, 2026, cardholders can save 20% at participating Houston-area retailers and restaurants including Maison & Tavola while helping fund the American Cancer Society’s work.
Here is everything to know before shopping this year’s event.
What is the Holiday Shopping Card?
The American Cancer Society Holiday Shopping Card is an annual Houston fundraiser that turns holiday shopping into a powerful way to give back. Purchase one card for $85, then use it during the event at participating local businesses for 20% savings on eligible purchases.
The program has supported the American Cancer Society for 29 years, has raised more than $20.1 million and sells more than 8,800 cards annually. More than 300 Houston-area retailers and restaurants participate each year.
When can I use the 2026 Holiday Shopping Card?
The 2026 savings period runs from Thursday, October 22, through Sunday, November 1. The discount is valid only during those dates.
At Maison & Tavola, cardholders can enjoy 20% off qualifying purchases both online and in our Houston showroom during the event. It is a lovely time to begin holiday shopping—from Christmas gifts and coffee table books to dinnerware, loungewear, Hanukkah pieces, Halloween decor and more. Exclusions may apply.
How much does the card cost, and where does the money go?
The 2026 Holiday Shopping Card costs $85, and 100% of every card purchase supports the American Cancer Society. Funds help advance cancer research, advocacy and patient support services so more people have the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer.
Support also helps cover operating costs for the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge, which provides a no-cost place to stay for cancer patients traveling to Greater Houston for treatment.
How do I purchase a Holiday Shopping Card?
Beginning in September 2026, mobile Holiday Shopping Cards will be available online and through participating retailers. Paper cards will be available at select participating stores.
When purchasing, shoppers must select a participating retailer so that store receives credit for the card sale.
How will I receive my mobile card?
After completing an online purchase, an email with the subject line “Holiday Shopping Card – Order # Confirmed” should arrive promptly with the mobile card included. Screenshot or star the email so it is easy to find while shopping. If it does not arrive within 30 minutes, check the spam folder.
How do I use the card?
At participating stores, present the paper or mobile card at checkout along with a matching photo ID. The 20% discount will be applied to eligible purchases at the point of sale. For online purchases, follow the participating retailer’s redemption instructions.
Cards are issued for individual use only and cannot be shared.
Can I buy a card as a gift or purchase several cards?
Yes, but the official Holiday Shopping Card website currently allows only one card for the purchaser’s individual use. Any additional card bought through the same Shopify account will display the account holder’s name rather than the intended recipient’s name.

Are there any restrictions?
Participating retailers and restaurants may exclude certain products or services. Before shopping, review each business’s listing on the official Retailer Map for its current restrictions. At Maison & Tavola, exclusions may apply.
Remember that the discount is valid only from October 22 through November 1, 2026, and the name on the card must match the shopper’s photo ID for in-person use.
