The Authors & Art Directors
The Gourmand is David Lane and Marina Tweed, founders of the acclaimed food and culture journal established in London in 2011. Through publications, films, and immersive experiences, they examine art, design, literature, film, fashion, and music through the lens of food. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Die Zeit, and Le Monde, and exhibited at London’s Design Museum.
The Contributing Author
Jennifer Higgie is an Australian novelist, screenwriter, and art critic based in London. She is the author of numerous books and essays on contemporary art, including The Mirror & The Palette, and served as Editor-at-Large of Frieze magazine until 2021. Her work spans fiction, criticism, and illustration, with titles including the children’s book There’s Not One, the anthology The Artist’s Joke, and the novel Bedlam. Higgie has also served as a juror for leading art awards, including the Turner Prize and the Moores Painting Prize.
